Moti Zharotia

Printmaking Artist

Moti Zharotia is a delhi based artist, an alumni of College of Art, New Delhi, where he acquired skills in making linocuts, silkscreen prints, and the photographic process.

His work pays tribute to the wonder of the world and its creatures incorporating theme of fantasy, using elements like the moon, trees and the rainbow, flying men and animals transcending their quintessential attributes.

A recipient of the Lalit Kala Akademi’s research grant in 1989-90, Zharotia has participated in several national and international exhibitions. He won the Sahitya Kala Parishad award in 1981, and the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society award in 1991. The artist lives and works in New Delhi.

Sanjay Kumar

Painting & Watercolour Artist

Sanjay Kumar is a distinguished visual artist with a career spanning over two decades. A graduate of the College of Art, Delhi University (2004), he has received several prestigious accolades, including awards from the Bombay Art Society (2019) and AIFACS (2018 & 2006), as well as a research grant from Lalit Kala Akademi (2006-07) His artistic journey has been marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions at esteemed venues such as Lalit Kala Akademi, Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Centre, and Alliance Française. His works explore themes of nature, emotion, and spirituality, blending contemporary techniques with deep introspection. Sanjay has also participated in national and international art camps and residencies, including the RAAIFA Residency at Six Senses, Rajasthan (2024)& the International Contemporary Painting Camp Goa (2017). His dedication to the arts continues to inspire & contribute to India’s rich visual culture.

Jameelya Akula

Tie & Dye Artist

Jameelya is the Creative Design Head at Sankalpa Art Village. She studied Product Design at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Uttarakhand. Passionate about product journeys and sustainability, she envisions a future built on conscious, eco-friendly designs. At Sankalpa Art Village, Jameelya curates products and experiences that elevate individual consciousness and well-being. She has hosted over 3,000 participants in natural dye workshops, fostering a thriving network and community of socially conscious individuals. Through her work, she actively contributes to sustainable communities and individual wellness.

Falguni Bhatt

Ceramic Artist

Falguni Bhatt is a Baroda-based visual artist specializing in sculpture and ceramic art. She completed her BFA in Sculpture and MFA in Ceramic Sculpture from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, in 1999. Her work challenges stereotypes in thought and form, rooted in a deeply personal and sensitive connection with her environment. In 2021, she co-founded the Indian Ceramic Art Foundation (Mrin Foundation) to promote Indian ceramic art globally and build networks among artists, educators, collectors, and institutions. The foundation also launched Mrin, India’s first ceramic art journal. Falguni has presented solo exhibitions in India and abroad and received honors like the IAFACS Award, All India Mini Sculpture Award, National Scholarship, and Junior Fellowship from India’s Ministry of Culture. She has curated global ceramic residencies and participated in renowned programs such as Jingdezhen International Studio (China) and the International Ceramic Studio (Hungary). She also co-founded Afsa Fired Art (2017) in Kolkata.

Neelim Mahanta

Muralist and Cultural Activist

Neelim Mahanta is a muralist and storyteller from Lakhimpur, Assam, known for transforming public walls into bold reflections of culture and resistance. He began his street art journey in 2012 on a grocery wall, later studying at Delhi College of Art after architecture training in Guwahati.

In 2016, he co-founded Living Art, a collective reclaiming public spaces across Assam. From tributes to Zubeen Garg to impactful murals like #BleedWithDignity, his work speaks of pride, protest, and place.

Commissioned by the Government of Assam in 2021, his flyover murals in Dispur went viral—cementing his role as a generational voice blending art, activism, and community.
