Carrying Change: A Community Installation led by Deeya Bhugra

In collaboration with women from nearby villages, we will create a site-specific installation that brings together tradition, sustainability, and community. Over the course of the retreat, we will weave and reimagine the iconic Himalayan kilta—a conical basket traditionally used to carry weight—using repurposed single-use plastic.
This immersive six-day experience invites you to slow down, share stories, and engage with the quiet power of collective creativity and shared resilience.
